Deeside Lodge is a Victorian fishing lodge set in one acre of garden located on the banks of the River Dee famous for its salmon fishing, it boasts a quiet location within the village and is close to local tea rooms and the village pub/restaurant.

Our rooms are furnished in a classic style with white linen, white towels, organic home grown flowers, local information and a welcome tray. The king/super king beds have V I Spring mattresses for a sound nights sleep.

We welcome dogs into one of the guest rooms and can store bikes overnight securely. Guests are welcome to relax in the garden in the summer or the drawing room with its roaring log fire in the winter.

Children and dogs welcome.

Royal Deeside is famous for its castles (Balmoral 30 minutes away), whisky distilleries and superb hill walking. Cycling, horse riding, golf, gliding, trout fishing and clay pigeon shooting available locally. Walks and cycle tracks are available directly from the house and salmon fishing on the Dee can be arranged.

Wildlife abounds in the garden with hedgehogs, pheasants and red squirrels visiting regularly.

We are totally organic in the kitchen garden (soon to be bio-dynamic) we encourage wildlife into the garden and have bird boxes, hedgehog and bug houses, we compost everything and grow a lot of our own produce and cutting flowers for the house. We buy local meat products from local butchers and organic fairtrade cotton bed linen and towels when possible.
