Close to the city centre and within easy reach of the road-rail network, Hedley House Hotel in York, North Yorkshire is Bed and Breakfast (B & B) guest house that provides modern comfortable surroundings and outstanding personal service.

Built in 1845 in the heart of the Victorian city, many of our rooms still include the original fireplace features. Combined with en-suite facilities, hospitality trays and digital widescreen TVs, our rooms are a subtle blend of contemporary modern and historic.

We offer a choice of centrally heated rooms, all of which have recently been refurbished to the highest standard.

The main building has 15 bedrooms, all en-suite, and most with a bath and shower. The Annex has a further 11 en-suite refurbished rooms.

We also have 9 self catering apartments available which have been rated as 4 Star by Visit Britain.

Dining

The Tariff includes a traditional full English breakfast. If you like a surprise, every day sees a new Breakfast special unveiled.

Dinner, which is optional, is served every evening. We recommend booking ahead to guarantee your places and avoid disappointment.

Our award winning cuisine is based on home cooking using fresh seasonal produce from the local area, including the excellent farmer-to-plate free roaming pork products from Yorkshire Outdoor.

Low fat menu options available include vegetarian and fish dishes every evening.

Business customers

Conference facilities catering for up to 16 delegates have recently been installed. Wireless Internet access is also available for business or pleasure FREE OF CHARGE.

Owned and run by the Harrand family since 1984, Hedley House Hotel in York is the perfect base from which to visit historic York and the surrounding countryside. We have our own off street car park and lock up garages, important in a city where parking is limited. Self-catering apartments are also available for your stay in York. You might even bump into the stage stars that stay with us while they tread the boards in York’s theatreland!
