Heulwen Guest House lies on the outskirts of Llanfachreth, a tiny village close to the centre of the Snowdonia National Park 3 1/2 miles from the old market town of Dolgellau. It is owned and run by Heulwen and Andy Watts, who established the business in 1985.

The spacious south-facing bungalow is set in its own landscaped garden with magnificent views of the mountains and forests. This tranquil setting offers you the choice of forest walks, hill climbing, fishing, mountain biking or just touring the area by car.

All Guest rooms have TV, clock radio alarms and beverage facilities.

An ideal centre for exploring the beautiful Snowdonia National Park

The accommodation consists of 3 large south facing bedrooms, all with stunning views of the surrounding mountains. Two of the bedrooms have en-suite facilities (shower, toilet and hand basin) and patio doors leading into garden. There is also a twin/double room available with hand basin.

All bedrooms have central heating, television,clock/radioalarm, hairdryer, tea/coffee making facilities and information booklets about attractions in the area.

Bathroom

The spacious guest bathroom consists of a bath, shower, toilet, and hand basin. There is also a seperate toilet with hand basin.

Lounge

A large and comfortably furnished lounge is centred around a stone fireplace and whether you want to watch television, play board games, or simply enjoy the superb views, the seating is arranged for all tastes.

Patio

Leading from the lounge is a large patio area and lawn, where you can while away long summer evenings.

There is ample off-road parking and facilities available for storing and washing down mountain bikes.

Attractions

Heulwen Guest House is ideally situated for a variety of activities such as mountain biking at the Coed y Brenin centre, white water sports at Tryweryn and many narrow gauge railways like the Snowdon mountain railway pictured here on the left.

If you are more suited to less strenuous activities there are many leisure walks in the area taking in spectacular views at high level and along the coast.
