Various watersports can be arranged from the hotels two private jetties, while for the less energetic, the Ullswater Steamers provides an alternative mode of transport around the lake.

Local sailing instructors offer a wide variety of sailing options from a trip across the lake to a deserted beach with a picnic (and of course he will pick you up later!), an hour long leisure sail, or 2-5 day courses for sailing instruction at any level.
