Mariners is 150 yds from the sea front along which you can take a leisurely stroll to the cobbled streets of the Barbican, passing the Mayflower Steps from where the famous Pilgrim Fathers set sail for America in 1620.
Tease your taste buds at the wide selection of restaurants. Visit the quaint shops and galleries, quench your thirst in a variety of Public Houses, and listen to the locals' old sea tales.
The City Centre is only a 10 minute walk, after which why not take in a show at the nearby Pavilions or the revamped Theatre Royal. We are also conveniently located for visiting the National Marine Aquarium, Royal Citadel and University.
The rugged moors of Dartmoor National Park, the Eden Project, the beautiful scenery of South Hams and many National Trust houses can be found in the surrounding areas. Visit Buckfast Abbey and take in a thousand years of history whilst relaxing in the tranquil setting of the gardens, followed by a delicious cream tea in their restaurant. You can also purchase the monks' homemade produce such as wine and honey.
If you are arriving by train or coach, we are only a short distance from either station. Plymouth Airport is approximately 15 minutes away and the Continental Ferry Port is approximately 5 minutes.
