After 7 years on BBC 1's 'Vets in Practice'

and 4 years as the 'Blue Peter' vet, Joe Inglis

has become a well-known face, and manages to

combine a day job as a practicing vet with a busy

media career and his hand-on role at Pets' Kitchen.

Ever since I qualified as a vet at Bristol university in

1996, I've been interested in pet nutrition, and the effect a good diet can have on health of pets. Over the last few years I've combined this interest with my creative streak to come up with a range of recipes for dogs and cats.

All of the meals in my recipe book have been carefully created to make sure they're healthy as well as being tasty, and they've been tested by my pets, patients - and even the odd family member!

Most of them are designed to be occasional treats rather than everyday meals, and there are recipes to suit dogs and cats of all ages, including some specially designed for young kittens and puppies.
