Charmouth is only 4 miles away from Shepherds Knapp. This endearing and unspoilt seaside village is part of the Jurassic coastline, a world Heritage site.
On the beach there is a Heritage centre museum and fossil hunting trips offered daily to explore this world known site where the likes of Mary Anning and Barney Hansford have found some of the most famous fossils.
You can see the tallest point along the coast from the beach, the Golden Cap. The centre of the village has a few shops and pubs with a post office and childrens park. Well worth a visit!
