Bed and Breakfast, Sherborne B&B
The Alders
The Alders is an attractive stone house set in a lovely old walled garden. It is tucked away from the road in the charming conservation village of Sandford Orcas, only three miles from Sherborne.
Guest parking is private off road. Guests have their own private entrance from the garden. A baby high chair and travel cot is available on request. The Alders is a non smoking establishment throughout.
The house is tastefully furnished throughout. There is an inglenook fireplace with wood burning fire in the comfortable guest sitting room. The fully ensuite double, twin and family bedrooms are attractively appointed, equipped to high standard with colour televisions and decorated with water colour paintings of local scenes and France.
A good traditional English breakfast, with homemade bread, marmalade and jams, is served in the old pine panelled breakfast room, where there is a display of handmade pottery.
If you are after a retreat from the noise of modern life, here only the dawn chorus of the numerous species of birds and calling of badgers, owls, deer and foxes will disturb the night.
