Peter and Julie welcome you to The Avalon B&B Tintagel, a small, exceptionally friendly and informal bed and breakfast accommodation situated within the enchanting Village of Tintagel.

We have been rated as 5 Stars by Visit England and have also been awarded their Gold award, and their breakfast award for excellence!

Originally built in Victorian times, The Avalon was totally transformed in 2006 via a complete renovation and refurbishment and was finally redesigned using an eclectic mix of the traditional Victorian features with contemporary comforts and finished with a Gothic twist.

Accommodation: We have 7 Bedrooms of which four have Tintagel Island, coastal and sea-views and two of these are Superior rooms with twin beds or 6 foot super-king size bed.

All rooms have free Wifi access, ensuite shower room, LCD television, refreshment tray, CD clock radio and hairdryer and each also has it's very own Victorian fireplace.

To ensure a comfortable nights sleep, the bedding is natural, pure white cotton and hypoallergenic and our custom made gothic-style beds have hand-crafted, pocket sprung mattresses so comfortable, you'll want to take it home with you!

The Avalon B&B enjoys private car parking and lovely, peaceful gardens with stunning, almost panoramic westerly views through the Vale of Avalon to the coastline and sea beyond. To the left, St Materiana, a 900 year old Norman Church, can be seen perched high on Glebe Cliff and straight ahead, uninterrupted views of Tintagel Castle Island, the birthplace of the legendary King Arthur and where the ruins of a 13th century castle stands. All are within an area designated by Europe as a Special Area of Conservation. We are also in an AONB (Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty) and Tintagel Island and Castle are protected by National Heritage.

The Avalon Bed & Breakfast accommodation is 10 minutes walk away from the South West Coastal Path and two minutes from the walkway that leads to Tintagel Castle Island, Castle Beach and Merlin's Cave. Other attractions just 5 minutes walk away are The Old Post Office, an actual Medieval hall house which was used as a Post Office in Victorian times and King Arthur's Great Halls where these vast halls tell the wonderful story of King Arthur.
