Penny and Dave owners of The Limes Bed and Breakfast welcome you to the village of Colby, which is set in the heart of the Eden Valley 20 mins from Penrith, the northern gateway to the Lake District.

We have the Pennines to the east, Lake District to the west, Howgill Fells and Yorkshire Dales to the south and Hadrians Wall to the north. It is a small pretty, village 1 1/2 miles north west of Appleby. You can walk from the house into Appleby across the fields or for the more brave across the stepping stones of the Eden and along the river into the town.

The Limes, has 3 double bedrooms.

One King Size Bedded Room with En-suite.

One King Size or Twin Bedded Room with En-suite on ground floor.

One Double/Single Room upstairs with a spacious Private Bathroom (bath & shower) downstairs.

All rooms are Centrally Heated with Coffee & Tea making facilities and Hairdryer , their own Flat Screen TV and DVD Player. Free Wireless Internet is available.

A hearty English or Continental breakfast is included, packed lunches and evening light bites on a tray are available on request.

Walker and cyclists welcome (lock up available for cycles).

There is off road parking.

We are sorry we don't have the facilities to cater for children.

There is an abundance of wildlife including otters, dippers, kingfishers, red squirels sometime feeding in the garden, roe deer and more. In fact from our home we have seen 67 species of birds and counting.
