The twenty five tastefully decorated bedrooms all have an en-suite bathroom, colour television, radio, telephone with modem port, tea & coffee making facilities, trouser press & iron, hairdryer and other small touches for your enjoyment.

The Olde Worlde lounge bar with its comfortable seating and real log fire has a relaxed and intimate atmosphere where you can enjoy a quiet drink or chat to fellow guests.

Chard is ideally situated for that well deserved stop-over break on the long journey to Devon and Cornwall. In fact, it is a good idea to spend your holiday at The Lordleaze Hotel in the heart of the West Country.

We are in easy reach of all the tourist attractions and the coast. Lyme Regis, Seaton, Beer and Sidmouth are all within about 30 minutes driving.

Chard town prides itself on its ancient history and its two famous rivers, running through the town, are a legacy of the 16th century. One reputedly runs into the English Channel and the other into the Bristol Channel. Chard, also the birthplace of the first powered flight, boasts many beautiul buildings.

Sports facilities are plentiful - particularly if you are thinking of a golfing holiday, for which The Lordleaze Hotel could not be better situated. We have a special arrangement with the local "Windwhistle" golf club which is just 5 minutes from our Hotel.

Fishing is also very popular in the area whether it is at Chard Reservoir Nature Reserve or deep sea fishing at Lyme Regis

Bowling classes can be organised during the summer at Donyatt Bowling Club (10 minutes from The Lordleaze Hotel)
