The Courtyard at Wainhill is available for overnight bed and breakfast stays or if you would like to visit the Chilterns for a little longer a few days at a time.

Only built last year, all the facilities are of the highest standard and all brand new. No expense has been spared in furnishing and decorating The Courtyard which provides a luxurious and comfortable overnight stay in a glorious setting.

Situated on the Ridgeway, close to the market town of Thame it is easily accessible from the M40, junction 6 (eight minutes away) and ideally located for trips to Oxford, Waddesdon Manor and Henley on Thames and many other local tourist attractions. Only 42 miles from London and surrounded by acclaimed and celebrated restaurants like Le Manoir aux Quat’Saisons, The Sir Charles Napier and The Swan at Tetsworth there is plenty to enjoy and experience in this part of the Chiltern Hills which is now also famous for the location of the filming of Midsomer Murders.

The Courtyard is a spacious en-suite room within our newly built timber lodge. It has a seating area, dressing area and a very comfortable new Hypnos super kingsize bed or two new Hypnos large twin beds. There is a Digital flat screen television with Freeview channels and free WiFi internet access. Complimentary hospitality tray and toiletries are available.

We have also opened the Ridgeway, which is new for 2018 and can accommodate up to 6 guests!

There is plenty of parking in front of The Courtyard on a secure gravelled drive behind electric gates.

Breakfast is taken in the dining room of Thatched Cottage overlooking the beautiful backdrop of the Ridgeway. We can provide the traditional Full English Breakfast or if preferred a lighter Continental Breakfast or smoked salmon and scrambled eggs – the eggs come from our own chickens.

For our walkers, we can ensure that any wet clothing can be dried overnight for you.

Children over 9 are welcome and can stay on the double sofa bed, younger children by arrangement.

Dogs are also welcome with notice in advance and we have secure lock up for road and mountain bikes

We are located on the Ridgeway itself at Wainhill and enjoy unrestricted access to this ancient trail. Turn left to the Ivinghoe Beacon in Buckinghamshire or turn right to Avebury in Wiltshire – with 87 miles of National Trail to explore. we are ideally placed for walkers, cyclists and mountain bikers. The Chinnor and Princes Risborough Steam Railway runs only a few yards from our front gates and we are situated at the bottom of the Chinnor Hill Nature Reserve, which is home to Red Kites and Kestrels along with a number of hang gliders who take off from the top of the hill
