Lockholme B&B Kirkby Stephen is situated on South Road A685 on the south side of Kirkby Stephen, an ancient market town lying between Kendal and Brough. It is very well placed as a base to explore in all directions, a great stopping point if travelling through the area, as well as a very popular stopover on the famous Coast to Coast Walk…. We are on the path!!! There are numerous walks and trails nearby as well as fantastic cycling opportunities.

Offering stunning views, delightful rooms and a very warm atmosphere, Lockholme is the perfect base for many excellent walking and cycling opportunities, as well as being able to explore further in all directions!

At Lockholme we aim to make your stay extra special, in a relaxing friendly atmosphere. Our rooms with shower ensuites, are beautifully decorated, reflecting the Victorian character and charm, and they are well equipped with a hairdryer, free WIFI throughout, tea and coffee making facilities and luxury complimentary toiletries from The Bath House, Sedburgh.

Upon arrival, look forward to delicious homemade cake with tea or coffee and relax either in your room, the Guest Breakfast Room, with a real coal fire and fabulous views of the fells and The Nine Standards Rigg, or the sunny private rear garden, knowing that any wet boots and clothes will be taken care of! There is off-road parking available and If you have a cycle, there is secure storage and plenty of room to tinker with the bike or clean it! If you need your clothes refreshing, we offer a laundry service (wash’n’dry).

Enjoy a traditional cooked breakfast, using local produce where possible, with alternative options offered. Just ask if you have a special diet request and we will do our best! Packed lunches are available on request.
