Description

The well-known local Architect Frank Nicholls converted Penwyn House, a former sea captains house, to the Regent Hotel in 1926.

During the Second World War was the GHQ of General Omar Bradley as he prepared his troops for operation overlord.

The Regent has been in the Varnals family for almost 40 years, the present proprietors being Keith & Sandi. The Hotel enjoys spectacular views of St Ives Harbour & bay from almost all of the rooms.

All our double and twin-bedded rooms have en-suite facilities including hairdryers, clock radio, tea & coffee making facilities plus central heating colour television and of course a view.

Our 2 single rooms are not en-suite, but enjoy more than adequate shower & toilet facilities plus colour television tea and coffee facilities etc and a partial view.

The Regent also offers 2 very comfortable Residents Lounges both with views, one with a television.

We now have FREE WIFI in the Hotel

As well as our Breakfast Buffet, we serve a wide selection of cooked items, which include English, Vegetarian, Continental & Fish dishes. Our Fish & Bacon are local products delicately Oak smoked. Our sausages come from Kittows a Cornish sausage maker established for more than 100 years. They are made with organic pork and Skinners real ale.

We also offer you the choice of real Espresso, Cappuccino, Latte, or Cafetière Coffee, plus a selection of Teas or Hot Chocolate.
