There is a guest lounge, outdoor heated swimming pool, plenty of parking and lots of space in the stone barns for storing bikes, surfboards, golf clubs, fishing tackle or whatever else you bring with you for your stay.

You can be assured of a very warm welcome and a pot of tea with home-made cake on your arrival. A great way to begin your stay with us.

To preserve the relaxing environment for our guests there is no television in the guest lounge and we do not accomodate children under 14 or pets. Free wi-fi internet access is provided and we ask that this is used with consideration for the other guests.

Lake Farmhouse dates back several hundred years. It is a lovely spacious, old farmhouse built of cob that has lots of character set in over two acres of grounds, nestled in a hollow just north of Sheepwash down a private track that has the odd bump or two.

There is a welcoming guest lounge with large comfy settees for guests to relax and unwind in and there is a large wood burning stove for those chilly evenings. There is a games chest full of games, jigsaw puzzles and cards. There are also books and magazines to read to while away any free time.

We have three double bedrooms available for guest use. There are tea and coffee making facilities in all bedrooms plus hairdryer, towels and a selection of toiletries including handmade soap. Swimming towels are provided when the swimming pool is open during the summer months.

The Hayloft (double ensuite)
A large, lovely light spacious room overlooking the swimming pool and garden. Simply furnished and decorated, the room has a luxury super king size French provincial bed with memory foam mattress. Leading off the bedroom, you step down into the large ensuite bathroom, which has dual aspect views. The bathroom has a lovely wooden floor, large roll top bath, separate large shower, towel-rail radiator, sink and WC. There is also a shaving mirror and shaving power socket plus luxury toiletries to pamper yourself with. Soft flannels, hand towels and bath sheets are provided.


Garden bedroom (double)
Spacious double bedroom with a king size sleigh bed and views across the garden. The guest bathroom is across the hallway.

Courtyard bedroom (twin)
Cosy bedroom with two single beds, views of the front courtyard and the distant fields and trees. The guest bathroom is immediately next door.

Guest bathroom
Large bathroom with a lovely wooden floor, large roll top bath, separate large shower, towel-rail radiator, sink and WC There is also a shaving mirror and saving point plus luxury toiletries to pamper yourself with. Soft flannels, hand towels and bath sheets are provided.

Garden and Courtyard Bedrooms
We only accept bookings for either the Garden or the Courtyard bedroom so that guests will have sole use of the Guest bathroom. Alternatively, both rooms can be booked as part of the same reservation by friends who are happy to share the Guest bathroom.
