Description

The Five Bells is a historic inn that dates back to the 16th century, set on a hillside at the foot of the breathtaking North Downs. A peaceful, remote retreat where you can enjoy fresh local food and drink, good company and the wonderful landscapes and wildlife of Kent’s North Downs. Visitors can stay overnight in one of our four characterful suites - Ortega, Bacchus, Fuggle or Golding - named after Kentish hops and grapes. This is a 16th century inn packed with quirky, charming features. Our cosy and characterful guest rooms are set above the restaurant and bar. While we do our utmost to ensure the maximum level of comfort for our guests we cannot completely rule out noise from the bar occasionally travelling to the rooms. Only 35 minutes by train from London, 15 minutes from the Kent Coast, Ashford and Canterbury and just a little longer by Eurostar into Paris.
